This pawsome pattern came in two different sizes and several color combinations. It was first launched in the IKEA catalog in 1971 as a bedspread. The pattern by textile artist Sven Fristedt was originally released in two color combinations: blue and green and muted brown and black. In 1972, a brilliant red and orange color scheme was added to the range. ALFI was also available as curtains.

In the mid-1960s, the textile designer Inez Svensson introduced a young Sven Fristedt to the then textile manager at IKEA, Inger Nilsson. Inez always wanted to highlight young talent, and Sven Fristedt had already attracted attention with designs for, among others, Borås Wäfveri and Katja of Sweden.

Material: strong cotton.

Wash at 30 degrees.

Length approx. 95 cm. No stretch in the fabric.

I'm wearing size M in the picture but I'm wearing S so it's a bit big on me.
